The most tiring role to play is, unquestionably, motherhood! Imagine having to attend to your kids, the house, your husband and work all at the same time! No amount of time management or self-restraint (and even coffee) can help us collect ourselves and keep our sanity with all these roles we have to play everyday!
I am saying this because I am a mom, a wife, a home-maker, an employee and a blogger. Keeping my zen, as you may guess, is a total day-by-day struggle. It may not seem like it but man, I am barely holding it together! But we shouldn’t let all these tasks and obligations burden us to the extent that we no longer care for ourselves and regret the importance of “me” time altogether. I, for one, NEVER deprive myself of quality time to take care of my precious self. The body that God has entrusted me. Be it with coffee dates with my friends or a pamper time at the salon.
My favorite, however, is a SPA! A therapeutic massage where I get to close my eyes, smell the aromatic essence of oils, listen to relaxing ambient music (which both magically brings me to the green forest everytime!) and get my tensed muscles their well-deserved tender rubbing for 1 hour and a half. An hour and a half, that’s all I need – that’s all it takes for me to recharge and help me go back to my normal kids-asking-for-dede-but-I’m-still-working-on-my-laptop life. #SAHM

I visited the newly opened branch in Maginhawa with my good friend mommy Anne, the beautiful momprenuer behind Little Miss Me PH (visit her shop to score cute twinning clothes for less). They offer various massage packages to cater depending on the client’s preference.
You can smell the relaxing scent from their massage oils as soon as you enter the spa. Receptionist, Kissie, is very warm (not to mention that she’s pretty too!) she will assist you on figuring out the best type of massage to suit your needs.
I tried out their signature Hilot Pamana 5-in-1 Healing Massage which generally combines the best part of five distinct modalities of massage (Thai, Swedish, Hilot, Shiatsu, and Tuina). Hilot Pamana targets stressed areas and provides general relaxation to the whole body. Something moms like me really needs!
The kind therapist soaked my feet on a basin of warm water and assisted me to the cozy room with dim lights after. The room is dim enough for the convenience of friends or new couple to enjoy the massage together, since you will be naked (especially if you’ll get the full body scrub service like I did) and only be covered with towels to get the best whole body massage experience.
Super loved every pinch, press and rub my therapist did to my exhausted body! Just the right amount of pressure to release the stress from my muscles and get the blood running through my stiffed veins. My favorite part? The back and head massage! Sooo relaxing, it probably took off pounds of stress from my body. Oh, I wanna go back right now to Banahaw Heals Spa while typing this!
TIP: Feel free to advise your therapist if you want a lighter or harder pressure during the session. They are very accommodating. Wag ka mahiyang magsabi and magtiis na lang sa masakit na massage if it doesn’t fit you. Remember, you are visiting the spa to relax, hindi para ma-torture! Hahaha!

This is claimed to treat both acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions, as well as many non-musculoskeletal conditions.
