I know the Philippines’ school year holidays or breaks have all been mixed up, but if your preschoolers are still on vacation and will be back to school on August (like mine), here is a summer activity I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you enroll them to!
So my 3-year-old Amaria finished Nursery class last May and she gets bored easily at home if I do not prepare and do activities with her, or even if I do, she looks for other ‘playmates’ other than me because she naturally is a bubbly, saying-hi-to-everyone type of person.
Given that, and all the good reasons parents look for summer activities for their children, I am so glad to be introduced to Ready Steady Go KidsΒ (RSGK) during the Mommy Mundo Kids & Travel Expo held at The Fifth at Rockwell.

Ready Steady Go Kids is the largest multi-sport and exercise programme for preschoolers (2.5β6 yrs. old) that has been running in Australia and has expanded to China, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Singapore over the last 10 years. Such luck that we have it here now, the ONLY multi-sport & exercise program for toddlers & preschoolers in the Philippines!Amaria is currently enrolled for 10 sessions of the MWF class at Inspire Kids Center at 3F Il Terrazzo Bldg., cor. Sct. Madrinan, Tomas Morato, Quezon City. Since the start of June, we have attended 3 sessions of the 1 hour class and so far, as a mom who is very specific of what my daughter gets out of what we put our effort to, I can say that IT IS WORTH IT!

They did soccer for the first 2 classes and basketball on the third. Basically, they do 1 sport per 2 classes and they cover five sports each term. Amazing! I am so excited with the other sports my daughter would learn in the remaining sessions!

I even noticed that the sporting equipment they use (all provided by RSGK) is specially designed and modified for preschool aged children. Thumbs up to RSGK for that!

Coach Anas lead the class to warm-up and stretching (with energy and humor), then they do some activities with their balls that promotes age-appropriate gross motor skills, hand-eye/foot-eye coordination, balance, team-building and sportsmanship.Β The sports activities are non-competitive and the kids are taught that sports and physical activity are fun. Body awareness and correct posture are also encouraged at all times.

Different kids have different learning styles, abilities or even communication or socialization skills. It is such a relief to see that Coach Anas and his co-coaches (1 coach every session assisting him) are good in dealing with kids and are really very patient.

I am so proud seeing my little girl picking up instructionsΒ and being able to complete tasks independently. She is confident and competent! I love seeing her do her best at what she’s asked to do. All of them are encouraged to take turns, play by the rules and cooperate with peers. Focus and concentration are also important. Listening, following directions and learningΒ basic concepts of colors, numbers and shapes makes me really happy Amaria joins this class!
